CABLE MANAGEMENT: A MUST FOR YOUR CONSTRUCTION SITES AND EVENTS
Originally designed to protect cables, electrical networks and prevent tripping hazards, cable management systems have become the standard in the industrial, commercial and public sectors. They feature a range of modular protection systems for cables and hoses up to 113 mm in diameter. They are indispensable for protecting all your cables on the ground in areas where pedestrians or machinery (trucks, construction equipment, etc.) pass. Their low height means they won't interfere with traffic flow.
When, why and how to use a cable duct?
Cable crossings are mainly used on road construction sites, warehouses, factories, parking lots and, more generally, in the events sector (festivals, markets, etc.). As safety is of paramount importance on these sites, cable crossings help prevent accidents (falls, accidental disconnection of installations, crushing, etc.), protect your cabling and limit the risks for everyone involved. These cable protections allow all persons present on the premises where you install them to cross in complete safety.
Cases where the use of cable bushings is important:
- Heavy pedestrian traffic: our low-height cable crossings reduce the risks involved. Some, like our handicapped cable crossings, can even accommodate people with reduced mobility (wheelchairs, etc.).
- Heavy-vehicle and construction equipment traffic: with crushing strengths of up to 6 tons/20x20cm², our cable bushings withstand the passage of many heavy vehicles and construction equipment (cars, trucks, finishers, etc.).
- Light" vehicle traffic: for semi-permanent installations, cable crossings are also highly suitable, especially for warehouses, parking lots and factories. They allow moderate-weight vehicles (pallet trucks, forklifts, etc.) to pass through without difficulty.
SPECIFICATIONS AND STANDARDS FOR OUR CABLE BUSHINGS
Some of our Defender III cable bridges are made of ultra-resistant rubber, but the majority of our range is made of high-density polyurethane (a material considered almost unbreakable, with acrushing strength ofup to 6 tons per 20x20cm² surface). They are resistant to acids and liquids of all kinds, to UVS, are rot-proof (they cannot rot) and have a very long service life.
These crossings are designed to avoid disturbing traffic, whether road or pedestrian, thanks to low angles of attack (between 5 and 10cm on average). Some have smaller gradients and are suitable for people with reduced mobility.
