By grouping the various electrical circuits and equipment in a single location, it centralizes, protects and manages the power supply. This not only protects the installation against electrical hazards, but also simplifies maintenance and power management operations.

The metering cabinet also plays a crucial role in protecting workers and equipment. It incorporates safety devices such as circuit breakers and differential switches, which prevent the risks of electrocution, overvoltage and short circuits. How does an electrical cabinet work?

The operation of an electrical cabinet is based on the integration of several key components that ensure the distribution and protection of electrical energy. When a power supply enters the cabinet, it is routed to various circuit breakers or fuses, which divide the energy into several separate circuits. Each circuit can then supply specific equipment, such as machines, lighting or power tools.

Circuit breakers play an essential role in constantly monitoring the flow of electricity in each circuit. In the event of an overload or short-circuit, they immediately interrupt the circuit concerned to prevent damage or accidents. Residual-current switches, meanwhile, detect current leaks and cut off the power supply if an anomaly is detected, protecting people from electric shock.

Where to place an electrical cabinet?

The basic version includes fuse protection (125A rating) with Mx coil, several switches, a differential switch, and various circuit breakers. A 5×50² input terminal block is also included.
