OUR ATEX LIGHTING
When it comes to working in wetlands, confined spaces or hazardous areas, ATEX lighting is the ideal choice. Their characteristics enable you to work in hazardous areas while benefiting from safe, effective lighting. Contact Labérine directly to find out more about our ATEX lighting lighting for professionals!
WHAT IS ATEX LIGHTING?
The ATEX classification categorizes zones based on their level of hazard and the risk of explosion. ATEX zones are classified into three categories: Zones 0, 1, and 2; Zone 0 is the most explosive, while Zone 2 is a zone where the hazard is rare and short-lived. ATEX lamps are therefore lighting fixtures designed for use in ATEX zones: their external protection and LED lighting eliminate the possibility of sparks that could ignite the atmosphere in such a zone.
Labérine offers many types of ATEX-certified lighting to meet your needs and suit your line of work: flashlights, headlamps, tubes, and a wide range of floodlights. ATEX-certified lighting solutions for hazardous areas are suitable for the petrochemical and gas industries, as well as for sensitive construction sites.
WHY OPT FOR ATEX LIGHTING?
ATEX lighting solutions first and foremost provide powerful and efficient lighting. For example, the ATEX Zone 0 EX7 flashlight offers adjustable brightness ranging from 60 to 200 lumens and a runtime of up to 45 hours (at 60 lumens). Powered by the three AA batteries included with the product, it delivers exceptional lighting quality.
But that's not all: ATEX lighting is designed for use in hazardous areas. This means they offer superior features to consumer lighting solutions: resistance to extreme temperatures, for example (between -20 and +40°C). What's more, ATEX solutions offer mechanical strength and protection ratings that enable them to withstand hazardous situations.
The Zone 0 EX7 flashlight, for example, can withstand a fall of up to one meter, and features an IP66 rating: protection against all types of dust and strong jets of water from all directions. Last but not least, we offer a wide range of ATEX solutions, including not only flashlights, but also headlamps, tubes and floodlights.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR ATEX LIGHTING?
As we mentioned, there are several ATEX lighting models available to suit your needs. The flashlight is a reliable and versatile lighting solution for professionals who must work in areas with explosive atmospheres. If you are a worker who must operate in such an environment, ATEX-certified headlamps are also ideal solutions that allow you to keep your hands free. The EXH8 Zone 0 headlamp, for example, offers 180 lumens and 40 hours of battery life. Lightweight (345 g) and comfortable, you won’t even notice it after a few hours of use!
In addition, there are ATEX-certified floodlights certified floodlights, with varying degrees of lightness and power. The small 60 W ATEX floodlights are a lightweight, practical solution for providing back-up lighting in hazardous areas. The Slamstar is heavier, but offers superior superior lighting power of 7,400 Lumens (compared with 5,000 for the 60W). Last but not least, the tubes are ideal for operations in extreme zones, such as petrochemical platformsfor example. Thanks to their cable, they offer a lighting solution for suspended operations.
CHOOSING ATEX LIGHTING: FOR WHAT APPLICATIONS?
Designed for hazardous work areas and explosive environments, ATEX lighting is particularly highly regarded by people working in hazardous industries, such as the gas, chemical, and oil sectors, among others. Indeed, these professionals must work in smoke-filled areas or in areas with explosive atmospheres. For particularly hazardous situations, professionals often choose a headlamp, although in certain extreme situations, an LED tube such as the 2x25W 180° is more suitable.
WHAT AREAS CAN BE LIT WITH ATEX SOLUTIONS?
ATEX lighting solutions are particularly popular in industries where explosion risks are common: the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, cement plants, and so on. ATEX lighting solutions are designed to illuminateincreasingly hazardous and hard-to-reach areas. Their durability, non-slip surface, and mounting system allow you to work in these areas without worrying about your lighting solution (breakage, loss, or dimming). So you can trust Labérine in any situation!
WHICH LUMINAIRES ARE PREFERRED FOR ATEX LIGHTING SOLUTIONS?
ATEX certification ATEX favors LED-type luminaires, as they are an economical, ecological, powerful and efficient solution. You'll find LED lighting in ATEX flashlights (Xtrem LED), headlamps (Power LED) and spotlights (OSRAM's ultra-powerful 120W spotlight).
ATEX hazardous-area lighting solutions sometimes feature independent modules for each fixture: this is particularly true of the Slamstar, which offers three independent 30-watt modules. This means that if one module fails, the other two can continue to operate. A reliable and efficient lighting solution! Contact Labérine directly to learn more about our ATEX lighting solutions!
