Rechargeable headlamps: the hands-free lighting solution for professionals

On your construction sites or in the industrial sector, it's imperative to guarantee the safety of your workers. Headband headlamps provide effective lighting right where you work.

These nomadic light sources leave your hands free for all your operations, even in the most fastidious and sensitive areas. Your hands are freed up, and the beam of light automatically follows the movement of your head. Flexible yet comfortable, they provide powerful lighting, from 40 Lumens with our Runsmart headlamp to 4,000 Lumens with our Wizard headlamp. This variation in light intensity means that our headlamps can be adapted to your various areas of activity. Whether stand-alone or battery-powered, our LED headlamps combine ergonomics and practicality.

Our portable headlamps can be worn directly on the forehead or over a hard hat. Lighting options with red flashers or flash/SOS enhance the visibility of both workers and other road users. Nomadic headlamps feature LED lighting. The LED bulb provides instant optimum light output when switched on. It gives off no heat and presents no risk of burns. LEDs save energy because 80% of the energy they use is converted into light, not heat. Last but not least, our LED headlamps are easy on the eyes.

Night work is a dangerous and tricky business. LED headlamps are twenty times more efficient, ecological and economical than an incandescent lamp. With their long autonomy, Labérine's headlamps will enable your workers to work efficiently and comfortably.

What specific criteria should you take into account when choosing an LED headlamp?

Before starting work, ensuring excellent visibility is essential. The safety and well-being of workers must be a priority. Choose from our selection of LED, battery-powered or rechargeable headlamps to suit your needs. Our headlamps offer various levels of brightness, suitable for all your activities, whether indoors or out. Depending on the lighting range you require, you can select the luminous intensity that suits you best, expressed in Lumens. Make sure you opt for optimum lighting for safe, comfortable working.

Discover the criteria for choosing your professional headlamp model:

  • Luminous intensity (Lumens): the luminous intensity of a light is determined by its power in Lumens. Depending on your sector of activity, it's advisable to opt for the right wattage so you can carry out your work with the utmost precision. Depending on the desired lighting range, it's essential to select the appropriate luminous intensity to best meet your needs.
  • Moins de 50 mètres: <100 Lumens
  • Between 50 and 100 meters: between 100 and 200 Lumens
  • Over 100 meters: >200 Lumens
  • Autonomy and battery type : our portable headlamps feature two types of power supply. They are supplied with a lithium-ion battery for long runtime. You can also power your LED headlamps with AA/AAA alkaline batteries if you don't have a battery or if your battery is empty. Rechargeable headlamps offer longer runtimes than battery-powered headlamps. They are therefore particularly recommended for long-term worksites and for all professionals who need to use headlamps regularly.
  • Waterproofing and resistance : for outdoor work, IP protection is essential. Our headlamps are all dust- and water-resistant, depending on the model, making them ideal for professionals working in confined spaces or harsh environments.
  • Comfort, ergonomics and weight: all our front lighting solutions are lightweight and practical, weighing less than 300 grams. They offer you comfort, lightness and reliability, with homogeneous, panoramic light for clear, unobstructed vision of all your work areas.
  • Lighting modes: our range features a variety of lighting modes to give you maximum flexibility on your worksites. Six different modes are available: Flash/SOS - Flashing Red - Low - Medium - High - Boost. These lighting modes improve precision and safety, preserve night vision and avoid dazzling others.

Professional LED headlamps with fast-charging options and external batteries offer great flexibility. The lamp's robustness and durability, as well as its waterproofing (IP) and shock resistance (IK), are essential for working in difficult areas.

Would you prefer a rechargeable LED headlamp or one powered by alkaline batteries?

A rechargeable LED headlamp with a lithium-ion battery is, in the long term, more economical and environmentally friendly. Alkaline batteries, however, require no charging time, and are permanently accessible.

Battery-powered LED headlamps

Batteries offer a number of advantages which, depending on your sector of activity, may be just what you need. Batteries give LED headlamps extended autonomy, without the need for recharging. Unlike rechargeable batteries, they are quick and easy to replace, so you can easily change them on site. With an alkaline-powered headlamp, you don't have to worry about access to electricity.

Stand-alone LED headlamps with lithium-ion battery

Rechargeable lithium-ion battery technology currently offers the best performance for headlamps. This type of power supply is best suited to frequent, intensive use on night-time work sites. These batteries are lightweight and can be recharged using the USB cable supplied. Ecology also plays a crucial role in the use of batteries. Charging is fast and the batteries have a very high number of charge cycles. Lithium-ion technology is perfectly suited to your worksites, even in difficult conditions, with resistance to extreme temperatures.

Rechargeable headlamps for hazardous environments

Labérine also offers a range of rechargeable LED headlamps for use in ATEX-certified hazardous areas. Efficient, reliable lighting is essential, especially in hazardous environments. Our headlamps with integrated rechargeable batteries are designed to comply with ATEX standards, guaranteeing risk-free use even in the most extreme conditions. See our range of ATEX-certified headlamps.

LED headlamps: answers to your questions

How long do LEDs last? The LEDs in our headlamps have a lifetime equivalent to 10,000 hours of use. These lighting solutions are generally quoted with a lifetime since they are not used continuously for such a long period.

What are the benefits of the different headlamp modes? Red LEDs provide night-time visibility without the risk of glare. The low - medium - high - boost modes of our rechargeable headlamps are perfect for adapting your light output to your activity or the location of your worksites. As for the Flash - SOS modes, they help you to be seen or recognized, so you can work with maximum safety.

Which batteries should I use for Labérine headlamps? It's essential to use the battery format specified for each headlamp (AA/AAA). Of course, the choice of alkaline or lithium batteries is not mandatory. Lithium batteries are more suitable for longer use, and are also lighter, reducing the final weight of the headlamp.
