ATEX industrial lighting to support your projects

Chemical and petrochemical industrial sites require specific lighting, whether designed to limit the risk of explosion ( ATEX-compliant) or simply to resist simple, corrosive vapors or splashes. Labérine Energie understands the diversity of needs and offers a wide range of professional lighting adapted to all sectors of activity, in particular those subject to zones with explosive atmospheres (zones 0, 1 or 2 and zones 20, 21 or 22).

The ATEX (explosive atmosphere) regulation imposes strict rules on many sites in France, aimed at limiting explosive risks on sensitive sites such as petrochemical plants, oil plants, power stations...

These sensitive areas are divided into three classes, themselves subdivided into three distinct categories.

  • Class I: areas subject to the presence of flammable gases, vapors and liquids. In this zone, there is category 1, known as "zone 0", which signifies the presence of a definite danger of explosion or highly flammable materials. Category 2, known as "zone 1", refers to an area where an explosive hazard is possible/probable. Category 3, or "Zone 2", covers low-risk areas, with a low probability of explosive risk. Class I products include the SAFATEX HT MINI headlamp, the MICA IL-800 ATEX flashlight and the ATEX 25W LED tube (also suitable for Zone 21).
  • Class II: areas subject to the presence of combustible dust. Three categories are also used to classify these risks. Category 1, known as "zone 20", represents a definite hazard, while category 2 or "zone 21" represents an occasional hazard, while category 3 or "zone 22" is categorized by an unlikely risk. Products such as the ATEX 150W floodlight (for zones 1/21 and 2/22) or the ATEX 60W 24V floodlight (for zones 1/21 and 2/22) can be used here.
  • Class III: this third and final class lists environments where the presence of flammable fibers and flying particles is likely.

Extremely robust, these products are specially designed for your temporary worksite installations in hazardous areas. In 24 volts or 230 volts, with LED bulbs, they meet strict intrinsic safety standards.

Labérine Énergie provides support to companies and sites operating in these particular contexts, requiring products that comply with strict standards, and therefore possesses definite expertise in this field.

Our teams are trained to respond precisely to your requests concerning these types of projects. Please do not hesitate to contact us using this form.
