Our specialized range for waste treatment

Safe lighting and electrical distribution for all your waste processing sites

In this particularly demanding and aggressive sector for electrical and electronic products, it is essential to equip yourself with high-performance, appropriate equipment, in particular for :

Preventing the risk of explosion: waste processing environments can contain flammable gases, combustible dusts and other hazardous materials. This risk is all the more present today, especially with the increasing presence of lithium-ion batteries, which present a high risk of explosion. ATEX-certified lighting fixtures are designed to operate safely in these conditions, reducing the risk of explosion or fire.

Reducing electrical hazards: using extra-low voltage (24V) equipment minimizes the danger of electric shock. In humid environments or those likely to be exposed to water, as is often the case in waste processing, using 24V rather than 230V is much safer, as it considerably reduces the risk of electrocution.

Comply with safety regulations: many industrial safety regulations require the use of ATEX-compliant equipment in areas where explosive atmospheres may be present. Using compliant equipment ensures that operations comply with current laws and standards, avoiding penalties and work stoppages.

Stand up to harsh conditions: ATEX and 24V products are generally designed to be robust and resistant to harsh conditions, such as dust, humidity and physical impacts, ensuring reliable, long-lasting performance in waste processing environments.

Reduce maintenance work and costs: thanks to their robust design, these types of lighting require less maintenance, which can reduce operating costs and minimize downtime. This is particularly beneficial in waste treatment facilities, where access for maintenance can be difficult and dangerous.

The importance of proper lighting at your waste processing sites

Lighting is an essential criterion for ensuring the safety, comfort and performance of employees. Good lighting drastically reduces the risk of accidents due to lack of light, such as falls or mishandling, and ensures a more comfortable working environment for all. In the waste treatment sector, efficient lighting is all the more important to ensure rigorous monitoring of processes throughout the treatment chain.

The conditions under which you use our products are often demanding, especially when your work areas are very humid. That's why Labérine offers you a complete range of lighting equipment adapted to these complex conditions of use: from wired or rechargeable spotlights, 24V and/or ATEX LED tubes to powerful low-voltage zone lighting.

Whether for sorting, processing or storage areas, our equipment ensures even, reliable and faultless lighting, reducing shadows and minimizing the risk of accidents, and ensuring that you are safely illuminated.

Transforming mains power for greater safety, a top priority

In France, the current distributed to household sockets and the mains is around 230V. At this power, an electric shock or water-related failure can be extremely dangerous, both for equipment and for people. It is therefore essential to transform this current into a lower, safer voltage, known as extra-low voltage (E. L. V.) or, more commonly, 24V. This transformation is essential, as it is not possible to use appliances operating at 24V directly on mains sockets without an integrated transformer. To meet this need, we offer a wide range of distribution products for converting current to extra-low voltage and distributing it safely.

Our safety transformers, which convert 230V voltage into 24V safety voltage, are easy to use: simply plug them into the mains and use the available sockets (usually purple) to power your low-voltage devices. We offer models with 1, 2, 4 or 6 sockets to suit your needs, such as our 2500 VA safety transformer with 6 24V sockets, or our 500VA safety transformer with 2 sockets.
